Research Areas:
Others
Function:
Catalyzes the conversion of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25(OH)D3) to 1-alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1alpha,25(OH)(2)D3), and of 24,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (24,25(OH)(2)D3) to 1-alpha,24,25-trihydroxyvitamin D3 (1alpha,24,25(OH)(3)D3). Is also active with 25-hydroxy-24-oxo-vitamin D3. Plays an important role in normal bone growth, calcium metabolism, and tissue differentiation.
Involvement in disease:
Relevance:
Catalyzes the conversion of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25(OH)D3) to 1-alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1alpha,25(OH)2D3), and of 24,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (24,25(OH)2D3) to 1-alpha,24,25-trihydroxyvitamin D3 (1alpha,24,25(OH)3D3). Is also active with 25-hydroxy-24-oxo-vitamin D3. Plays an important role in normal bone growth, calcium metabolism, and tissue differentiation.
Reconstitution:
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Protein Families:
Cytochrome P450 family
