HSP60 monoclonal antibody MB66012
Specifications
| 50ul/100ul |
Background:
In both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells the misfolding and aggregation of proteins during biogenesis and under conditions of cellular stress are prevented by molecular chaperones. HSP60 has primarily been known as a mitochondrial protein that is important for folding key proteins after import into the mitochondria. Research studies have shown that a significant amount of HSP60 is also present in the cytosol of many cells, and that it is induced by stress, inflammatory and immune responses, and autoantibodies correlated with Alzheimer's, coronary artery diseases, MS, and diabetes.
Specificity:
Recognizes endogenous levels of HSP60 protein.
Alternative names:
HSP60; 60 kDa heat shock protein mitochondrial; 60 kDa chaperonin; Chaperonin 60; CPN60; Heat shock protein 60; HSP-60; Hsp60; HuCHA60; Mitochondrial matrix protein P1; P60 lymphocyte protein
