MICU1 monoclonal antibody MB65961
Specifications
| 50ul/100ul |
Background:
CBARA1/MICU1 is a mitochondrial protein associated to the mitochondrial inner membrane that is comprised of two EF hand helix-loop-helix motifs. CBARA1/MICU1 is involved in mitochondrial calcium entry, metabolic coupling between cytosolic calcium transients, and activation of matrix dehydrogenases. Mitochondrial CBARA1/MICU1 is required to preserve normal mitochondrial calcium concentration below the equilibrium level by interacting with the uniporter pore-forming subunit MCU. CBARA1/MICU1 is important in pancreatic β-cell mitochondrial calcium uptake and sustained insulin secretion.
Specificity:
Recognizes endogenous levels of MICU1 protein.
